Teaching entrepreneurship is the same as teaching parenthood – you can only really learn by experiencing what it is like to be a parent or an entrepreneur.
At Johannesburg School of Finance, all our entrepreneurship courses are based around Banango Traders, the business simulation game developed by ourselves specifically for the training and education environment. In Banango Traders, participants run a simulated business and experience the challenge of competition, strategy, market forces, team decision-making and the reality of both failure and success.
In a survey of what participants got out of playing Banango Traders, many additional factors came to light over and above the financial planning aspect of the game.
